The 2012 French Open is through its first week of play at Paris’ Roland Garos Stadium. The biggest upset of the past week saw top-seeded Serena Williams fall to Virginie Razzano of France. Maria Sharapova is now among the favorites on the women’s side. in the men’s draw, Roger Federer won his first-round match over Adrian Ungur. The victory was his record-breaking 234th win at Grand Slam tournaments. The two-week event will crown its champions next weekend.
NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Game 3 — Miami Heat at Boston Celtics
TD Garden, Boston, MA; 8:30 p.m. (EDT); ESPN-TV
The Miami Heat hold a 2-0 series lead in the NBA Eastern Conference finals after rallying from a 15-point deficit to beat the Celtics, 115-111, in overtime on Wednesday night. Despite getting 44 points from Rajon Rondo, Boston didn’t have an answer for Miami’s LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, who scored 34 and 23 points, respectively. The Celtics hope to benefit from returning home as they attempt to get back into the series in front of a raucous Boston crowd.

Microsoft on Tuesday said it was getting into the interactive children's TV and book business, announcing new partnerships with Sesame Workshop and National Geographic, among others -- they'll produce programming that uses Microsoft's Kinect motion-sensing controller to get kids off the couch.
Xbox users will soon be able to watch...style Entertainment.
Microsoft is also working with Pixar on a game called Rush (shown above), and with Double Fine Productions' Tim Schafer on a project dubbed HappyAction Theater. Details are few, but Sesame Workshop has already releasedOnce Upon a Monster, designed by Schafer, that uses the Kinect to get kids into the game's action.
